The best preparation for painting or glazing on wood is a good primer. It achieves an optimal foundation and reduces absorption to a uniform level over the whole surface area. It thereby ensures good adhesion of the subsequent coating. Selection of the right primer depends on the type of wood:

Wood primer no. 124: For types of wood without active substances, e.g.: Maple, Birch, Beech, Alder, Ash, Victoria® Oak, Spruce, Pine, Robinia, Sipo, Fir, Elm.
